Unisonic album artwork, tracklist and releasedate

Here you can see the coverart to the Unisonic selftitled debutalbum wich is to be released on April 2 2012. After listening to the Ignition Ep a few more times since my review i am more excited than i was then, i think this can be really good.

The album will be released in three different version; CD Jewel case, CD Mediabook with extended booklet and bonustrack and on Vinyl (limited edition)

The Vinylversion will also include the album on CD, and also the Japanese  CD will offcourse have one bonustrack.

Unisonic – “Ignition” MCd (2012)

So it’s finally here, the debut Ep from Unisonic a band features former Helloween members Michael Kiske and Kai Hansen. The first time i heard the song “Unisonic” i was pretty excited and couldn’t wait for this Ep and later on the album to be released, after listening thru this Ep a few times i can’t say that i am as excited anymore. Sure i like what i hear but still.. i don’t know.

The Ep kicks off with the track “Unisonic”, wich i think reminds alot of how Helloween sounded around the Pink Bubbles Go Ape era, Kiske‘s vocals sound as good as ever before and Kai, well Kai knows how to handle a guitar and write power metal songs, enough said. This track is a really good up beat power metal track and i think its a good choice to choose this track to promote the album as it will more or less get all old Helloween fans interested in the band, it sure as hell worked on me.

After this we get the “My sanctuary” a basic radio rock track wich is pretty dull and more or less just fades away into the background, but it gets better, the demo version of “Souls alive” is next, a track wich is my favourite on this Ep, a track wich reminds of a mixture of Pink Bubbles Go Ape and early Avantasia stuff, hopefully there will be more tracks like this on the album, and last but not least we get a live version of Helloween‘s classic “I want out” recorded at the Loud Park Festival in 2011.

Unisonic (Michael Kiske / Kai Hansen) video premier

Okey, so it’s finally here, the first video off Unisonic (featuring Kiske and Hansen ex-Helloween) selftitled album/ep. I have grown up listening to Helloween and it’s fair to say that the “Keeper of the seven keys” pt1 & 2 albums have been spinning alot on my turntable over the years so it’s pretty exciting to listening to this track when it features both Michael Kiske and Kai Hansen from that band.

Unisonic features following members Kai Hansen (ex Helloween / Gamma Ray) and Michael Kiske (ex Helloween), with Mandy Meyer (ex Asia, Krokus and Gotthard), Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69) and Kosta Zafiriou (Pink Cream 69). And i think the music reminds me alot of what Helloween sounded on the “Pink bubbles go ape” record, especially Kiskes vocalstyle. Michael Kiske’s vocals are still amazing, and i am pretty excited to hear more from this band!

Unisonic’s debut Ep will be released January 27 and will feature the song “Unisonic” along with a demo track and a cover version of the Helloween classic “I want out” (live). The band’s debut album will be out in March.
