Artist: Purson Title: Rocking Horse Label: Rise Above Records
Purson, the next big thing upon the occult retro-rock wave? Well, time will tell! But i can say as much as they sure are a band well worth checking out if you are into psychedelic doom retro-rock wich hails from the 60s and 70s. Purson´s debut 7″-single is a well crafted work in the name of satan. Really nice riffs and melodies and the female fronted vocals are very harmonic and peaceful. The title track on side A is slow doomy tune with a nice groove to it, a really good track even though i personally perfer the B-side wich is a more up-temo rockish tune named “Twos and Ones” wich was originally recorded for the bands 4-track demo released last year.
The single was sold out on pre-orders the first day and limited to a total of 600 copies. 100 clear, 250 purple and 250 black vinyl. A full lenght album is also in the making, and if you are into this type of music i highly suggest that you check this band out.
Tracklist:
Side A: Rocking Horse
Side B: Twos and Ones
Purson is a new upcoming band wich i think you all should take your time to check out, their debut 7″-single Rocking Horse will be released sometime in mid March, but is already sold out on pre-orders. The single will be released in 600 copies (100 clear, 250 purple, 250 black) on the Rise Above Records label, i was fortunate enough to grab hold of a purple copy, can’t wait for it to arrive.
The band is from England and the music is dark, occult psychedelic rock mixed with doom. A genre wich is very popular these days. A debut album is hopefully also out later this year.
