Motley Crue’s brand new song “Sex” will finally be released, i was hoping for it to be released in time for the European tour, that didn’t happened, but now it seems they will release it in time for the American tour with Kiss. So maybe they also include it in their setlist on the US tour.
“Sex” will debut on Friday, July 13 on SiriusXM and be available on Tuesday, July 17 — three days before the tour begins.
As i understand the single will only be available as a digital download (mp3 and flac), too bad, but really looking forward to hear the song! I will post it here on this blog as soon as it is made available.
Update: Motley.com have now posted a 30 seconds preview clip, you can listen to it here, it sure does sound promising!
I have previous posted the preview clip (here) from the KISS single Hell Or Hallelujah, and now the full song have been released, you can listen to it below, and it is also available on download on various sites:
… yes, that’s the opening line from Eric Singer in the new video commercial for the KISS book Monster, a huge photobook (70 cm * 100 cm) that will be released soon. I was pretty interested in the book up until i saw the price of it, first i thought it was a bad joke, the book wich will be limited to only 1000 copies and will come with a variation of flags to choose from on the front cover (Usa, Canada, Australia, Germany, Japan, Sweden, Norway, England, Brazil, Russia and also a blank cover with no flag on it) will go on sale for $4299 (thats about 30,000 SEK) for a photobook!
Sure the book will be released in a total of only 1000 copies in total and each copy will be handsigned by the members of the band (Gene, Paul, Eric, Tommy) and yes it’s huge as hell… but still! It can never be worth the money, never! But on the bright side, it’s free shipping! Atleast that’s something, right?
As much of a KISS fan i am, and as no matter how cool it would look in my “vinyl room” the price is beyond ridiculous i think, wich is a shame because the book would be really nice to have. Hopefully they will release a smaller and more price-friendly version of the book in the future, one can only hope. Until then i will spend my money on the upcoming Monster album and the European tour next year.
If you are interesed in ordering yourself a copy, you can go to Kissmonsterbook.com
Amazon.co.uk have posted a short mp3 preview clip off the upcoming KISS single “Hell or hallelujah”, the single will be released on July 2 as a mp3 and flac download and is the first taste from the coming album Monster, you can listen to the preview here.
Edit: The full version of the single is now released, you can listen to it below!

I would like to wish a happy birthday to Paul Stanley, born Stanley Harvey Eisen in New York on January 20 1952. Paul, singer and guitarist in one of my all time favourite bands since i was a little kid, KISS, is now turning 60 years and still going strong with a new KISS album and worldtour in 2012/2013.
Here are some birthday wishes from his fellow bandmembers (from paulstanley.com)
Gene Simmons: Paul, my very best wishes on your birthday. You’re the brother I never had. You’re always been there. For me. For the band. For the fans.
Tommy Thayer: Happy Birthday Paul! You’re a great friend & a brother in arms.. We just made a kick-ass album together and had a great time doing it. You are THE rock & roll champion! Happy 60th!!
Eric Singer: Paul Stanley, Happy Birthday to the Grand Master of Ceremonies! Your still the best and I wish you only better days ahead…
In the latest issue of Classic Rock Magazine (UK) Paul Stanley of KISS talked about six of the new songs from the upcomming album “Monster”.
“It’s A Long Way Down”
“It says that those who reach heights and don’t appreciate them fall mightily it’s a long way down from the top. It’s a defining track in the sense that it’s very up-tempo and very much a signature song. Eric‘s drumming is incredible on this.”
“Back To The Stone Age”
“One that Gene sings. It’s exactly what you’d expect it to be from the title. I come from a school where you write a verse, a bridge, a chorus, and then you go back. That’s in my blood. It’s in Motown, it’s in The Beatles, it’s in Led Zeppelin, it’s in The Who, its in all my favorite bands.”
“Shout Mercy”
“That’s a great track. There’s a lot of tracks that could start the album, and this is one of them. I like to think that the opening song is a declaration of what the album really is, whether it’s a ‘Love Gun’ or a ‘Detroit Rock City’. It’s important to start with a song that defines what you’re gonna be getting.”
“Out Of This World”
“That’s one of Tommy‘s. He really pushed the limits. His playing is phenomenal. It has the kind of excitement that I like to hear where you’re not quite sure if it’s gonna go off the rails or not. That’s what makes great rock n’ roll.”
“Wall Of Sound”
“We’re not trying to reinvent the wheel here; we’re at our best when we don’t over-think. It’s not a Rubik’s Cube, it’s a song, you know? This one is absolutely, immediately recognisable and identifiable and true to being KISS. I put the blinders on us to keep us from being derailed or the attention span broken by things going on around us.”
“Hell Or Hallelujah”
“Another up-tempo song, and it’s very definitive. That’s what I think is so great about this album: every track is quintessential. No one does it better and many have tried. When we hit the bulls-eye, we hit it full on. We’ve cut 14 tracks. How many we’ll use or how this will play out will be interesting, but there’s no filler.”
KISS are now puting the finishing touches on their upcoming album “Monster”, in a videoblog released on their homepage today Paul said that they are about two days off with the recordings. See clip below.
“It’s almost done and it’s awesome. It is by far the best thing we’ve done in I don’t know how long. Have I ever said that before? Yeah. Was I right? Yeah. I’m right this time again. . . Truly, the album kicks major ass and we’re very, very proud of it.”
The album is due out this spring. Some rumored songtitles are “Hell or hallelujah”, “Born to be a sinner”, “Out of this world”, “Are you ready” and “Wall of sound”.
