I’ve grown up on heavy metal music so it came as no suprise to me that i fell head over heels over Enforcers sound when i heard their debut single “Evil Attacker” back in 2005. Enforcer made a pretty huge impact on the metal scene with their 2008 debut album “Into the night” and the expectations for the “Diamonds” album was very high, especially for me. Could they deliver the goods one more time? Well, yes i think so, even though it’s not as good as their debut i think that “Diamonds” are a step in the right direction for the band, the songs have more melodies compared to the debut and sound more mature.
I would say that “Diamonds” are one of the best albums released back in 2010 and songs such as “Midnight vice”, “Katana” and the Twin Peaks tribute “Walk with me” are future heavy metal classics!
The sound of the band is simply “New Wave of British Heavy Metal”, think bands as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Angel Witch and you get the picture. Loud guitars and high pitch vocals, leather, studs and denim, it’s all here. The first vinyl editions was sold out in just a week, but the second pressings you can still get. And they all look very good and except from really nice colored vinyls you get a gatefold cover with the bandmembers in the foldout and a doublesided insert with lyrics.
I have all kinds of different pressings of this album, here is what you see in the photo
