So last night it was finally time for WASP to enter Sundsvall Sweden with their 30 years of thunder celebration show, a show wich was divided into three parts. First part with songs old songs from the first four albums, a second part dedicated to The Crimson Idol album, and a third part with new songs and everything in between… or so it was said.
When i first saw the setlist from the show at the tour premiere i was really excited cos it included the songs “Chainsaw charlie”, “The heretic”, “Widowmaker” and “Scream until you like it”. Those songs was only played at the first shows and by the time the tour hit Sweden they were long gong cut out from the setlist, a bit of a dissappointment.
Nevertheless i really liked the show, the band sounded really good (and sure they had some pre-recorded backup vocals etc but who cares!) amd seemed in a good mood.
Other bands that played this night here in Sundsvall at Nordfest was Year Of The Goat wich play melodic satanic pop-metal in the same vain as Ghost and The Devils Blood, it was my first time seeing them but since i really like their EPs they put out so far i really like them live also even though they didn’t quite look the was i expected them to.
Second band on the bill beside WASP we watched was Necrophobic, and they play classic swedish death metal. Now i just managed to see about 3 songs with them since i wanted to get a good position at the WASP show, but from the little i saw it sounded and looked really good.
Here (and the one above) is a few photos i took from the show:

Today Nightwish announced on their official homepage that they have parted ways with their singer Anette Olzon who replaced Tarja a few years back. Here is the official statement from the band.
Another chapter of the Nightwish story has ended today. Nightwish and Anette Olzon have decided to part company, in mutual understanding, for the good of all parties involved.
In recent times it has become increasingly obvious that the direction and the needs of the band were in conflict, and this has led to a division from which we cannot recover.
Nightwish has no intention of cancelling any upcoming shows, and as a result we have decided to bring in a substitute vocalist starting in Seattle 1.10.2012. Her name is Floor Jansen from The Netherlands (ex-After Forever, ReVamp), and she has graciously stepped in to help us complete the Imaginaerum world tour. We are all strongly committed to this journey, this vehicle of spirit, and we are sure that this will lead to a brighter future for everyone. We forever remain excited about the adventures to come, and we are extremely proud of the two beautiful albums and the wonderful shows we shared together.

Universal Music Sweden have just gone out with a pressrelease regarding the upcoming album with Graveyard. The album will be titled Lights Out and is set to be released on October 26.
“The title Lights Out summarizes the feeling of the album and the feeling we have as a band. That we live in a strange time where nothing is as it seems.” Says drummer Axel Sjöberg.
And about the coverart for Lights Out Axel says “We know that we and everyone around us was more than stoked on the cover of “Hisingen Blues” and that we now have to find an equally strong idea. We’re almost done, and without having seen the final version, we can say that we are convinced that no one will be disappointed on the cover of Ligths Out.”
Jello Biafra & the Guantanamo School of Medicine have released a brand new digital download single called “Shock-You-Py!” wich is a tribute to the occupy wallstreet movement. “Better late than never, here’s our tribute inspired by the Occupy movement. Not just ‘occupy’ — Shock-You-Py! — since my favorite kind of resistance can have theater, pranks and other creative sabotage — non-violent, of course!” /Jello Biafra.
The single is released as a “pay what you want digital download” and includes the original version of the song as well as an acoustic sing-a-long version. You can download it from the bands official bandcamp page.
