The last week there are two records that have had my full attention, one is this third album by Crucified Barbara, the other one of the debut of Jess And The Ancient Ones, but more about that one in my next post. So let’s focus on The Midnight Chase now for a moment, this is the third album by swedish metal/rock chicks in Crucified Barbara, a band wich i have been following since their debut ep and a band wich i think have evolved throught every release including this one. On this album the music is a bit more heavy that the previous albums and this is just like the previous ones also filled with catchy songs that sticks after listening to them, the biggest problem i had whit this album after the first run was that not that many songs did stick to my mind, so i hit play once again and after listening to it about three times i started to like the album more and more. The album is produced by Chips Kiesbye and the procuction is really good, i just love the heavyness he have added to Crucified Barbara’s sound. Overall this is a really good album with an awful cover, but if you haven’t heard any of Crucified Barbara’s albums i would recommend you to start with Til Death Do Us Party, that is accoring to me the bands best album.
The crucifier, Shut your mouth, Into the fire, Rules and bones, Everything we need, If i hide, Rock me like the devil, Kid from the upperclass, The midnight chase, Count me in, Rise and shine
